At the 1992 Alpha Chi Omega National Convention, our delegates marked the adoption of domestic violence awareness as our philanthropic project, an issue that affects women all over the world.. Together, we serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence through fundraising and sharing gifts of time and talent with shelters and other service-providing organizations. Alpha Chi Omega also works to educate its own members, giving them tools to build their own healthy relationships, and to raise awareness of domestic violence by educating others on its impact and work being done to end it.

Here at Arizona State Zeta Pi Chapter, we work with a local non-profit, A New Leaf. More specifically, we work with The Autumn House, a domestic violence shelter managed through A New Leaf.

Kickin' It With Alpha Chi

Each Fall semester we host a kick ball tournament that includes up to 10 other Greek organizations! We all come together to support the fight against domestic violence all while spending the day with children from the Autumn House, bonding with other Greek organizations, having fun, making memories, and raising money for A New Leaf.

G.i. Alpha Chi

Each Spring semester we host our G.I. Alpha Chi event to raise funds for A New Leaf! G.I. Alpha Chi is a night filled with up to 10 other Greek organizations participating in a series of military style races and compete to take home the winning trophy. Competitions include a military style tug of war, obstacle course, and a heels race. Our heels race is put on by the competing organizations strapping heels to their feet and racing together to “walk a mile in her shoes”.
